This webinar series will expand Clinical Documentation & DRG assignment knowledge for those HIM, CDI and managerial level professionals currently at an intermediate or expert level, having work experience or completion of ICD-10-CM (diagnoses) and ICD-10-PCS (procedures) formal education. This is NOT a basic or beginner webinar series – it is geared towards the experienced professional who wants to sharpen their ICD-10-CM/PCS skills and knowledge. Each two or three part module will include in depth discussions of MS-DRGs, APR- DRGs, MCC/CC s, coding guidelines, accurate coding, and compliance pertaining to a clinical topic of focus.

About the Speaker
Deborah Gardner-Brown, RHIT, CCS, CDIP, C-CDI, CI-CDI, CCMSCP
Ms. Brown holds the credentials of RHIT, CCS and CDIP from The American Health Information Management Association, and CI-CDI/C-CDI (Certified in Clinical Documentation Improvement and Certified Instructor) from DocuComp, LLC. She also recently completed the certification requirements for CCMSCP (certification in CMS-Conditions of Participation) Ms. Brown is a member of the AHIMA, NJHIMA, ACDIS, WBL, HCCA, AAPC, and NJACDIS ( current chair person). Ms. Brown has more than 30 years experience in both Hospital and Professional Service Coding and Clinical Reimbursement Management. She has held positions as Director, Administrator, and Consultant in both acute care and out- patient settings. Ms. Brown has extensive experience as an educator for a wide range of professionals within the healthcare information, and clinical documentation setting.
Continuing Education Credit

ACDIS pre-approved for 3 CE’s for each 3 hour module (November, December, March, April, May) and 2 CE’s for each 2 hour module (January, February and June).
AHIMA continuing education unit (CEU) eligible for 3 CE’s for each 3 hour module (November, December, March, April, May) and 2 CE’s for each 2 hour module (January, February and June). HIM Domain: Clinical Data Management/ICD-10. Attendees are eligible for up to 21 CEU’s.
